Renovation Repair & Painting (RPP)
- EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, the new Lead Safe Work Practices
The new rule goes into effect April 22, 2010 and firms must be certified to work in pre-1978 housing, child-occupied facilities and schools.
ap Inspections is a Certified Renovator firm trained in the new EPA new lead safe work practices rule. ap Inspections is also available to train companies/individuals to be a Certified Renovator. There are two trainers in the company, one is a licensed lead inspector and the other is a licensed lead supervisor.
The new rule includes proper cleaning techniques, personal protective equipment, lead testing, pre-renovation education documents, and record-keeping documentation. ap inspections has the supplies and equipment for the class to train and certify the companies/individuals. All you need to provide is the location, date, and your specialized products or services.
Traveling is flexible to train out of state if needed. We have traveled to Chicago, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Ultimately, our primary mission as environmental professionals must be to ensure workers go home in the same condition as they arrived, and to prevent exposures to workers and their families.
